Wouldn't this track record have been noted far and wide if it really existed? Every1 knows that MOW set 7 records and equaled 1 track - as a 3yo. I've never heard of any 2yo records.
(More evidence that DRF should be printing a column in PPs specifically indicating time records set along w/all the other data, rather than us relying on "word of mouth" - having to read book narratives to glean the info, etc.)
Similarly, perhaps I'm not reading this post correctly but I'm pretty sure DRF compared their times to the track records of the *previous* season. So MOW was (100-83=)17 points behind the (latest) 1918 track record.
