I still don't believe it. Books on him and race horses in general would mention it.
I will look at my Sept(?) 1918 charts and see what that says for records (if it has them for that track). If not that, then my '21 charts (all of them) which will definitely have some kind of record listing for the track. Might not be exact but at least it will give an inkling.
