The HTML references I've checked are telling me that there isn't a HTML tag for creating tabs. In other words, "<tab>" won't work to indent text. There are work-arounds which include images the color of the background, tables, padding commands and Cascading Style Sheet classes. I am no computer whiz however, so I may well be missing something!
As far as I've been able to discover, just about the only way to create columns in HTML is by using tables. I recreated your list of Breeders Cup Classic entries on my HTML enabled forum using a two-column table. I can't do it here because 'Big Red's Stable' isn't enabled for formatted posts. Play around on my forum to see what you can come up with. Nobody will see it! ;^) (And you can always delete it when you get done, provided you are logged in to Network 54.)
