New To The Board

by

Hey yall, I've lurked on this board for a while and just felt that I should post. I just read the Man o War book by Cooper and Treat and thought that it was great. The book will probably have to be ordered from a bookstore but it is 15 dollars if you want to buy it. Something in the book confused me...I heard that Man o War's record for a mile and 5/8ths still stands, and that he is tied with Kelso. The book said that it had been broken. Is it the track record that still stands?

Also, the book says that there were thousands of MOW pictures taken, such as pictures of the Lawrence Realization race, and him in the pasture frolicking with his foals. I have only seen about twenty or so pictures of Man o War in all. Does anyone have any of these pictures or any rare pictures?

One more thing...there used to be a site that had MOW's three year old saddle and racing silks advertised on it. The last time that I saw it was probably two years ago. Does this site still exist?

If anyone knows the answers to these questions that would be great! Thanks

Katherine
