I have to agree with you on that Big Red. I remember when I was younger I asked a man at a bookstore if he had any books on horse racing and the first name that came out of his mouth is "Secretariat". I agree, I think he's more well known is because he's recent. Also Secretariat came about during the TV era, Man O'War and Eclipse never was on TV. So Secretariat was able to reach out to more people via TV so more could see his talent. If Man O'War or Eclipse had the same exposure as Secretariat, I'm POSITIVE things would be MUCH MORE different today.
