Man o war had a tremendous 28 feet stride, secretariats is only 21 feet. I doubt any other race horse will ever hold a candle to Man o war, and i do wish he had ridden the triple crown, he proved he could win when he won the match race with Sir Barton and the owners of sir barty then cried that he had foot problems, this is because he Man o war won by an embarrasing 7 lengths. My friend says her horse is grandaughter to Secretariat, (which i doubt as there is no papers to show it) and has the idea that just cause sec took the triple crown that her horse (who is half morgan, tb) is better bred. I say wrong as sec was very badly put together, conformation faults, man o war was not. my mare has his hieght and build but i havent let her go yet, shes 3, her mom is man o wars grand daughter, she flew, 24 feet stride but used for jumping. I have yet to test B, in foal at the moment so have to wait 8 more months. I think there is one way to solve the disbute on speed, computorised! Put Secretariat, and man o war on there best day of racing onto one mastered race against each other and see what the out come is. My girl is just like him too, but she wont race! If I can get it done I will let you know the outcome of the race.
