The window to the soul is the eye but when it comes to racing; the horse is not in a natural state, it is wound up, the nutrient levels change the attitude totally as the horses feed depicts the energy level and the overall performance, it all comes down to stress and and what is called, Performance Under Stress, this is the mental state of any horse that is in surroundings that are alien to them. Each horse is totally different, each has its own personality as do we, althopugh it may possibly work for you, this is something I will see as only down to personal opinion. Feet, I jockeyed and trained in England, one of the wettest countries in the world, most races under moderate to heavy going especially march to may and the size of foot does not make any difference. Red Rum was unitl he died the only horse to ever win the grand national 3 times in a row, under heavy going with a wieght dissadvatage of 12lbs over the other horses (this is a steeple chase too) yet had very small hard feet and this was of no dissadvantage. But your opinion is your opinion and I respect that.
