There is an Article on NTRA.COM entitled Kentucky Derby Trail:Changes Is In The Air about 3/4 down there is a paragraph about Corinthian unfortanetly I don't know how to create a link to it so I'll give you the highlights. Basicly it talks about Corinthian and his "little problem" being other horses and everytime he comes up to a horse in the stretch he lugs in to him and compares Corinthians behavior to Fusaichi Pegasus it goes on to say "Corinthian has been the most immpressive two-turn horse seen at gulfstream this winter, and he certainly would have won the Fountain of Youth Stakes by open lengths had he not tossed it all away with his antics."also another quote from the article "it was apparent watching the Fountain of Youth that Corinthian was never going to be passed and,in fact, was starting to inch away again." So It sounds like somebody other than myself and Afleet Alex agree that veering in and "bumping" aside there is no way First Samurai would have won the Fountain of Youth He gave up!. Face it First Samurai hasn't won a race legitamtly since the Champagne Stakes. First Samurai's next start is the Bluegrass Stakes hard to predict but, odds are that nothing out of the ordinary will happen (ie.Chasing Blistering Fractions and Interfernce)If First Samurai doesn't win what will your excuse be?.
