I think the problem here is that you grew up in the 70's and witnessed these great horses in action I didn't and quite frankly I don't care if it's the wrong thing to say to you. My first memory of horse racing is watching Easy Goer destroy Sunday Silence in the Belmont(only 20 years old). You can't really back up that Seattle Slew would beat the 40's horses lucky that we had two Triple Crown winners back to back and got to race each other (Seattle Slew bested Affirmed) like I said it's just my oppinion brother if you don't like it to bad.
