Undefeated french raider to steam roll in Derby

by Jibberish

The undefeated french based colt Visindar is looking to roll through and take Britains most coveted flat race for three olds the Vodafone Epsom Derby this Saturday. The son of 2000 Derby winner Sinndar has a spotless record and coming off an impressive victory in the grade 2 Prix Greffulhe, is the heavy favorite in the 1 1/2 mile Derby. The full field is not determined as of yet, but the defender of Britain is the superb Sir Percy. Undefeated at two, Britain's champion 2 year old of 2005, a respectable 2nd in his first start of the season in the Stan James 2000 Guineas to George Washington. It was reported that he was sore and stiff for the first time in his career after the 2000 Guineas, most likley he got jarred from the firm ground that day. Marcus Tregoning Sir Percy's trainer, is increasingly positive, Sir Percy is apparently working more fluent his sorness has subsided. It should be a good race, the ground is excpected to be soft to yeilding for Saturday which will benefit Sir Percy as he likes some cut in the ground. Sir Percy will love the 1 1/2 miles it is still undetermined how Visindar will react to the distance.

If Visindar is succesful in the Derby. There is chance for British revenge, as Aussie Rules the dramatic winner of the Poule d' Essai des Poulains aka the French 2000 Guineas will be trying to take two french classics as he goes for the French Derby not much else info on the race yet, more to come.
