Riddle Scared em off

by John The Gambler

One thing about MOW is at 3 HE SCARED ALL OPPONNENETS AWAY.
Donaconna had a hard time recovering from the Belmont against Riddle`s horse and Kilmer who owned Exterminator saw the TDS at MOW Withers Stakes. MOW ran the 3rd race May 29, 1920. Mile time 1:34 Exterminator ran the 4th race May 29 1920 mile time 1:37 and Exterminator lost that day. MOW was 15 points better at the same track, same day, same surface. Kilmer decided that day never to run against MOW. Owners thought their horses would only learn to lose against MOW so no takers. Only the very wealthy dared to run on MOW for they could afford to lose.
Yellow Hand owned by R.T Wilson President of Saratoga Track (Very rich man)
Donnaconna owned by Loft Candy Company
Upset, and a few others owned by Harry Payne Whitney and Harry Payne Whitney paid more Income Taxes in 1922 than John D Rockefeller.
The average owner could not afford to get his horse"brain sour" running on MOW turf.

Cant say best ever (NO SUCH THING) but MOW struck fear into the opponnents as no top you parise on this board.
