And that Damascus and Dr Fager were better overall champions?
It must say something about Dr Fager if in fact the handlers of Damascus and Buckpasser didn't think their horses had enough speed to stay with the good doctor and had to enter rabbits in that race. It is in fact perfectly legal, but it also shows that they didnt think they could beat him without rabbits in the race!
