In the Suburban Hcp. on July 4, 1967 Buckpasser gave 22 pounds to the good filly Ring Twice and was trailing her by 4 lengths with 50 yards to go to the finish, under persistent urging by Baeza Buckpasser accelerated brilliantly and won pulling away from Ring Twice. It was his best effort as a 4 year old.
