Glad to hear from you, as you probably saw in one postI was born on the farm across the road from Man O War. The house I was born in was about 25 feet from the road. My grandfathers home was way back down a gravel driveway across from dominos grave. WE go back from time to time to visit friends and some of my many cousins in the area. It is a great place to be. I remember when Man O War died, The road was lined with autos for miles. People were every where. My sisters went to the funeral for big red. My sister has some pictures from that day some where. One of my sisters went over to the padduck where Man O War was being was posing for A clay model of him. I have a picture of that time. The sculptor was nice to her and she went back several times to watch the sculpting. The sculptor was Herbert Haseltine I believe. Good hearing from you. By the way, will Harbuts son still lives in the little community near the old grave site, The last time I saw him was about 2 years ago. He is getting up in years.
Thanks, Bourbon County Bob
