MOW was The Mostest Hoss. Walter Vosburgh thought so. He was the New York State Handicapper who assigned weights to horses in Handicap races. He assigned a 15 pound spot to Colin as a two year old. Colin won twice at two while giving the place horse 15 pounds.
Sysonby as a two was assigned a 10 pound spot to the place horse and won. Vosburgh assigned MOW a 21 pound spot and MOW won giving the place horse 21 lbs. That is the most weight ever given the runner up in a race for twos. At three MOW gave the place horses 32, 30 18 etc. Secretariat never gave the place horse more than 8 pounds.
