Yankee Clipper, in you fantasy race with Discreet Cat, Bernardini, and Lava Man, Lava Man would burn out soon then Bernardini, the horse needs to be on the lead or running 2nd so if he was behind Discreet Cat who runs a half in say :45 or :46 he would be down and out before the stretch and the more adverstile Bernardini, Sun King or Invasor would finish off the race who can lay off the pace our any where they want.
Maybe you should watch the horses running styles before popping off about what would happen in a fictious race, that isn't going to happen
