Discreet Cat was brilliant in his win in the Cigar Mile at Aqueduct on Saturday Nov. 25, 2006. DC was the top weighted horse as a three year old against older stars. It was only the 36th time in 600+tries (in NY) since 1967 that a 3 yr old GAVE weight to older horses and won. Discreet Cat cruised to 6 fl in 1:07 3/5 while contesting the pace with Sliver Train who was the Breeders`Cup Sprint winner in 2005. DC equaled the track record for 1 mile at Aqueduct at 1:32/25 which was set by Easy Goer in 1989. Easy goes ran 6 fl that day in 1:08 3/5. It is the first time I can remember a track record equaled by a 3 yr old who was GIVING weight to older horses. DC was not worn out at all by the very fast pace and will run next year. DC is to meet Invasor again March 29, 2007. DC is the only horse who can beat Invasor as he did last March. Bernardini could not beat Invasor. Discreet Cat is not undefeated for nothing! He is the best horse I have seen in years.
