Six times MOW faced one opponnent.

Belmont Stakes with Donocanna.

Stuyvesant with Yellow Hand

Dwyer with J P Grier

Lawrence with Hoodwink

JCGC with Damask

Match Race with Sir Barton.

Yellow Hand, Donocanna and Hoodwink were added starters on race day to avoid a walkover for MOW.

It shows how powerful MOW was at 3 yrs old for no one wanted to run against him except a few very wealthy owners who could easily affor to lose!

MOW faced one betting interest in the Travers as J P Grier and Upset were coupled in the wagering.

In 7 of his last 8 races one and only one owner cared to run against MOW
