I wrote an article about horse movies, and mentioned that "Pie," the horse in the 1944 film "National Velvet," was played by a horse named King Charles, who was a grandson of Man o'War. A reader has asked about the bloodlines for King Charles. Would you be able to help? I found two horses named King Charles, one a foal of 1925, another a foal of 1933, who might possibly have been used in the film, but it appears that neither descended from Man o'War.
