Deb,
Over on the Exceller Fund website, I have a restored rare photo of Man o' War for sale. Proceeds benefit the Exceller Fund to Rescue Horses which is a group that rescues ex-racehorses and other horses from being sold for slaughter.
http://www.excellerfund.org Click on the Giftshop link on the left side and scroll down to see the photo. E-mail me if you're interested.
Also - some other MOW stuff - C.W. Anderson wrote a book entitled Big Red that is quite informative. No photos of MOW, but lots of C.W. Anderson's wonderful drawings.
Step and Go Together is an out-of-print book that has a great chapter of an interview with Louis Fuestel.
Boots and Saddles is another o-o-p book that details the Ross Stable from 1910 to 1920 and has lots of stuff and a few photos of MOW. I have a copy that will be put up on e-bay for The Exceller Fund.
The History of Horse Racing in America by W.P. Robertson is an absolute MUST HAVE for any fan of racing. It covers Thoroughbred racing from colonial days up to the early 1960's. Lots and lots of photos and great detailed stories. It includes an entire chapter on Man o' War as well as an appendix of his racing record and his measurements. I have a couple of copies that will be going up for the Exceller Fund auction as well. But if you can't wait, you can find them now and again on e-bay.
There is a new book on Man o' War that is published by Exclusively Equine, although I didn't like it as much as the Cooper & Treat book. But you can still purchase that book on their website which is http://www.exclusivelyequine.com
