Rachael Alexandra ran a more powerful race than any of Zenyatta`s efforts in the Woodward Stakes at

Saratoga on Sept. 5 2009. Forced to a hotly contested pace in 22 /4 by Da`Tara who ran last (exhausted

By that pace) Rachael Alexandra then had to hold off Macho Again who layed 8th most of the race and

was fresh and full of run at the end. The last 3 furlongs were run in an average of 12 2/5 each which is

remarkable! Rachel Alexandra The Great was the nickname all gave to her that day. I was there to see it

      And was very impressed.
