People seem to mistake Amélie as a normal romantic comedy, this is a Jean-Pierre Jeunet movie goddamn it!!!! This is a FANTASY movie! There is no way in hell the world of Amélie can exist in here!! And the fact that they don't speak to each other (well at least have a dialogue) shows just how unconventional it is! Its not supposed to be realistic. I'm sure you don't complain when Superman flies now don't you?
