If you don't find what you want, I am a US Dealer for Air Flow Dynamics Alum Cleveland Heads from Australia. I have sold about 25 sets over the past couple of years and they are very nice heads and reasonably priced compared to others. Let me know if you have an interst. Thanks, Mike. email@example.com
hi mike, are the heads complete or bare 2v or 4v,? how much,? also any idea how much to send to scotland. have a 4v 4 bolt block in the garage just dying for a nice set ove heads. got another 3 4 bolt main block,s in my hut waiting for build,s cheers jonny @ jonnyzracing
Hello, they are Aluminum. They come in 2V 4V Street and 4V Race. I buy them Bare because I get a bettrer deal on Ferrea Valves and others than AFD does and I don't have to pay extra for the cost from the US to Aus and back to the US. I have the heads pre cut to combustion chamber CC size before they are shipped to get the compression needed for each engine. That saves about $200 in cost having them done here.
The 2v and 4v street heads have made up to 600 horsepower on some pump gas friendly Stroker Engines. They do work.
I assemble the heads for free as I want to make sure that they have as close to the correct spring pressures and installed height they are supposed to have. The only additional charges over the cost of the heads is the shipping and the parts to assemble the heads. I try to give everyone a really competitive price for the completed heads and have sold about 25 pairs over the past couple of years.
I also help guys with the Cam choices. A lot of mistakes are made when buying a cam. No Cam in the books are exactly right because these heads flow so much better than a stock head and all the cam specs are based on Stock Production heads. It doesn't cost me any extra to have a Solid or Hyd Cam Ground. My Cost is the same as any cam in the book. Crane now has a Series of Street Solid Roller Cams that have a more gentle opening and closing ramp. They work great on the street strip cars and don't beat the valve train to death like a conventional solid roller. I have been working with Crane for about 2 years or so now since they came back on the market with their product. I just got three cams and sets of Lifters and two sets of the New Wide Body Gold Rockers for Clevelands and 460s. They are awesome and I can sell them for less than the older number rockers.
The base price for the AFD heads bare are $1,597.00 plus the cost to get them here. I can drop ship yours to Scottland direct from AFD. I have done this before. I can send the parts and instructions on setting them up or I can ship them here and set them up and then ship to you. Since I don't charge for the assembly you won't really have that much more in paying the shipping to me and then to you after you figure what it cost you to have them built. Plus I get a pretty good deal on shipping anyway and that helps. I am also Master WD with Diamond Racing Pistons and Trends Push Rods so I can help with the cost there too. All in all it helps me to have 42 years of experience building engines and being a Cleveland Guy too I can tell you, I already know what Not to Do so you can pretty much be assured that when I pick the engine package for your application it will put a smile on your face. I do get a lot of guys who have had engines built and changed things a few times and still don't get the result they want. It makes a difference on who is picking parts and doing the work. Just because someone can build a 302 or 350 chevy doesn't mean they know what it takes to make a Cleveland work and beat the pants off big block chevys. Let me know if I can help. I know avenger cyl heads has a cnc program for the combustion chamber that allows the use of standard pop up style pistons that are available for the Cleveland ,is this available with the cyl heads you offer.
