Doug wrote about it in SF. Many of the old SBF Pro-Stock racers and NASCAR engine builders of the era did the same. That and many of the other tricks like bushed lifters with minimal oiling holes, etc. Doug wrote a good article, however, in combining all the old fixes (most of which still apply today) and the reasons why they were done. The oiling passage diagram should be commited to memory for everyone running a 'C'. |
