Response to Very Very Nice! |
| Thanks.
This is my latest engine and car combo.
Engine:
4 inch Scat crank
6 inch Scat H-beam rods
4.03" Ross forged pistons 9cc reverse dome.
4V closed chamber heads home ported and chambers polished (64cc)
Compression calulates to 11.00
Strip Dominator intake (box stock) with 2 inch open spacer
Holley 750 DP
solid roller 258/268 @.050" .630/.658 lift(@1.65 ratio)
1.65 Lunati roller rockers to keep the lift reasonable
drive line:
roller C4/transbrake
5500rpm JPT 8" stall
4.11 gear
Car:
'79 Fairmont
3125 lb. with driver
This car gets drive on occasion to cruze nights. I run it on pump gas and DOT Hoosier Quick Time Pros.
Et to date:
60' 1.466
330' 4.279
1/8 6.650
mph 103.10
1000' 8.721
1/4 10.509
mph 127.11
Over the winter I will be doing some grinding in the intake and some more in the heads. Maybe some more tweaking in the short block. The trans will get some lighter and beefier parts as well as the rear end. I'm wanting to get this thing about 3 tenths quicker. My friend has a professionally built, aluminum headed, 12:1 468 BBC Nova and I want to kick his ass with my "little" garage built Cleveland with 10" tires and pump gas.
