Heather emailed me this picture on Thursday. The engine should be on the dyno some time later this week. As soon as I get that information I will post it with the rest of the engine build details.
As you can see in the picture, it has iron heads with raised exhaust and a Bud Moore Maxi Box intake sporting a dominator top.
At the beginning of the summer I posted a thread looking for information on this type of combination hoping to get feedback from anyone that had personal experience with a like setup.
Although I am positive that better peak numbers could be achieved with different components, this is going into a 73 Mercury Montego GT that I am building as a period correct Wood Brothers / David Pearson Grand National clone and in this instance I was not willing to sacrifice the authentic look for an extra 50 to 100 HP.
