Hello everybody, I've been reading your posts for over a year. It has been fascinating, I figured I might as well join in on the tech talk.
I've built a Shelby Cobra replica, NOT A KIT CAR!!!! I designed and built everything, chassis, suspension, even the body. But this is a 351-C site, not a cobra site soooo... The engine that powers the cobra is a '72 iron block 351-C,the heads are iron'72 CJ(open chamber)ported, polished,cc'd with SS exhaust port plates. The block has 8 Darton sleeves,Pro-Gram billet main caps, a 4340 Scat 4 inch stroker crank, 6 inch Carillo Chevy rods(sorry 'bout the chev bits), custom 9:1 J&E pistons.I run a comp cams hydraulic roller, intake .602 gross lift, 224'@.050. Exhaust is .612 gross lift, 232'@.050, 114' lobe center. Harland Sharp 1.73 aluminum roller rockers, jomar stud girdle.
Holley strip dominator modified for fuel injection. Motec M48 ECU
2 Turbonetic TO4B "V" trim Compressors. .58 AR "O" trim turbines. 2 1 5/8" SS waste gates. Custom BOV. 1 3/4" SS turbo headers. Bosch 52 lb. injectors augmented with ECU controlled auxiliary mechanical fuel jets.
2 carbon fibre liquid to air intercoolers. Custom water injection system.....ah I'm getting bored of typing....
It makes 1016 hp and 1088 f/lbs......I'm going to bed.
