The Black Rock Coalition Presents

THIS WEEK IN BLACK ROCK
(APRIL 12-MAY 5)

Welcome to all the new people who signed up to join the BRC e-mail list. This
is your prime location to find out what's going on with the BRC and things
related to Black rock in all of its forms.

As always, the good people at the multi-national corporate conglomerate known
as America Online have graciously asked my infinitesimal Black behind to
remind you, if you wish NOT to be a member of the BRC weekly e-mails, simply reply
to info@blackrockcoalition.org with the word "unsubscribe." WE ADAMANTLY
DISCOURAGE SPAM, BUT… we won't get mad if you choose to forward this list, but only
if it's to parties with genuine interest in BRC activities. Please ask
permission first!

REMINDER: The deadline for getting listings in This Week In Black Rock is
every Tuesday at noon. T.W.I.B.R. gets sent out Tuesday night/Wednesday morning.
E-mail listings to: BRCMembersInfo@aol.com.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE INCLUDE SHOW TIMES, ADMISSION PRICES AND CONTACT
INFORMATION! (And if you're playing outside the New York metropolitan area, please
include city and state).

DO NOT SEND ANONYMOUS/UNIDENTIFIABLE ATTACHMENTS! THEY WILL BE DELETED
UNOPENED!

TWIBR HAS ADS, CLASSIFIEDS AND ARTIST LINKS! For info about taking out ads in

FAMILY MUST HELP FAMILY…
The BRC is no different.

SPECIAL EMERGENCY MONETARY EFFORT FOR BEVERLY MILNER, BRC L.A. EXECUTIVE
DIRECTOR

Bev Milner has had an unfortunate break-in at her bungalow. The back door
was kicked in and the thieves (suspected crack-heads) made off with some cash,
some of her prescription drugs and some jewelry, all while Bev was at work.
Luckily none of her musical instruments were stolen nor her computer that
houses all the BRC documentation.

Now she needs to have window bars and a security door installed. Even though
the police were called in and known local drug traffickers and users are
starting to frequent the area, Bev's landlord has refused to pay for this!
Unfortunately, a Los Angeles Tenants Rights Bureau informed Bev that the landlord in
fact is only responsible for replacing what was already existing (i.e, a
weak entry door and a flimsy mesh screen door").

The installation of a security gate and window bars is very costly. We all
love Bev and fear for her safety, so she must have security bars, because she
lives alone!

We are taking up a collection here at BRC-LA as well as hoping BRC-National
members can make a small donation to help off set the costs. Any amount is fine!

Those that wish to contribute may make checks or money orders payable to:
BEVERLY MILNER, and mail to BRC LOS ANGELES, PO BOX 841, HOLLYWOOD, CA 90078.

I will be gathering all the checks and giving them to Bev as well as sending
thank you notes out to the members.

Peace!
Tyana Heywood
