BOSNIAN COURT CONVICTS WAR CRIMINAL. A Sarajevo court sentenced a
former Bosnian Muslim soldier on 4 November to 10 years in prison for
his role in a massacre of Croatian civilians during the 1992-95
conflict, the "Southeast European Times" reported. Enes Sakrak was
found guilty of participating in the killing of 30 Croats in the
village of Grabovica in September 1993. He was arrested in August and
subsequently admitted to killing a woman and her child. Bosnian
Muslim wartime General Sefer Halilovic is to be tried separately for
failing to prevent the massacre. Halilovic was freed by the
Hague-based international war crimes tribunal in December 2001
pending that trial (see "RFE/RL Newsline," 14 December 2001 and 9
January 2002). UB
