Sucks? This site sucks. Spending all your time ripping on ND and not even supporting your own favorite team. Bottom line is that you all hate ND because they are on TV every weekend and you're sick of it. Well, all I can say is that your favorite team would be too if had a NBC affiliate on campus like ND does. If your college does have a national affiliate on campus then they sure don't know who to market their school very well, do they.
Another thing. Have any of you ever been to the ND campus? You probably think its this HUGE campus that boasts "Football" everywhere you look. Well you're wrong. ND is probably one of the smaller schools in Div. I. Campus is small as hell and is very humble looking. So don't think it has the size of a U. of Michigan, Texas A&M or a U. of Washington. I guess my point is that ND is a school rich in history and great players. Yeah, they get a lot of attention due to their past, but you can't hold that against them. Its their past and the media thrives on it.
Did you know the first college team to successfully use the forward pass in a football game was ND? Gus Dorais passed the ball to Knute Rockne with substantial success against Army in 1913. No they didn't invent the pass, but rather used in with the most success for the very first time. So you see, ND has more than the Lou Holtz era which is all you remember....other than the bad years of Davie and Faust.
right, you arer going to come in and write three paragraphs and change the mind of everyone on this site who thinks ND is the most consistently overrated team year after year. marketing? that's your defense? they have better marketing, that's all you can come up with? right. a game in 1913? wow, big news! noone said they were historically completely talentless, just consistently overrated. that's all.
I don't know what planet you live on, but what is so great about Notre Dame???????? My cousin graduated from there, I have been there MANY times...Notre Dame is nothing. It's a small, boring campus full of snooty rich jerks. I wouldn't stay there if you paid me. There is ABSOLUTELY nothing special about Notre Dame..No Rhodes Scholars, no great programs, no nothing. Sports teams suck. Just brain washed morons like you who say ND is great because that's what they say on TV....GET A LIFE!!!!!!!!1
