Why is it sports announcers make it sound like Brady is a shoo-in for the Heisman? Don't Troy Smith and Vince Young have a year of eligibility left?

All I've heard is how great and vastly improved Tom Brady Quinn is. Troy Smith was better in the Fiesta Bowl. He almost got sacked, fought his way out, then successfully completed a pass. That's some kind of quarterback.

Troy Smith does have a year of eligibility left. Vince Young did have a year left, but he just announced over the weekend that he is making himself eligible for the NFL draft. I would take Troy Smith or even Chris Leak over Brady Quinn any day of the week!

Thanks for the reply. I know Troy Smith has had some problems in the past. Do you think that will hold him back from Heisman contention? I don't think it should, especially now that he has turned his life around and is playing better than ever.
