Bloomington was the classiest school I ever played against!

I played at Mount Carmel in the fall of 1988-1991 and graduated in the spring of 1992. In 1990 we traveled to Bloomington's home field and played a game that was even from beginning to end. When we came on the beautiful field ( the best grass field I ever stepped on) your fan's booed us, threw toilet paper at us and scared us with intimidation that never had happened to us. We played back and forth until we threw a bomb to win the game 15-12. This was a semifinal game in the 1990 5A playoffs and was a great, well played, clean game. after the game we were waiting for a bus and your team came out and brought us all food with the parents of the team. We sat with the Bloomington team and parents, ate and laughed. It proved what great people you have out there and that they know what High School sports is about. I have nothing but the highest regard for your team and school and neighborhood. I hope that if Mount Carmel, who is having a down year cannot win state, Bloomington takes it all the way!!!
Here's to the classiest opponents Mount Carmel ever played and the craziest fans in Illinois....GO GET 'EM GUYS!!!
PS How is Billy Dicken and the RB back then his name was Ware, I do not remember his 1st name. They were great players and very classy!!! Good Luck Raiders!!!
