I was at the game the next week in Hinsdale and Rice fans were relieving themselves on peoples lawns and drinking in the parking lot. They tried to conceal it but people are not stupid. I admit other schools have their problems but I have never seen such a complete disregard for laws and the spirit of high school athletics. There is a schhol spirit award from the IHSA at games and Brother Rice shows none. They need to be set an example of and penalized. I hope parents realize what they are doing sending their children there. Alcohol is fine in moderation and when precautions are taken to ensure safety, it does not belong in high school sports. The worst part was seeing high school students drinking in their cars out of flasks with adults watching and joining. I thought that was a Roman Catholic school with discipline. I saw none and believe a strong penalty need be imposed on that school, especially their faculty!
