I like the format of the new board, but is anyone else getting a ton of pop-ups with it? I now have 6 windows open on just this site!

Me too. This morning seems to really bad.

Netscape (older 4.7) .. no popups

IE5 with cookies cleaned out before startup .. yeah popups!!!

IE5 on 2nd startup with the old cookies left alone .. no popups

I'm getting popups from alot of urls when I use IE5 .. won't say anymore - "think" paint jobs Spooner

Spooner, go to www.panicware.com down load a FREEWARE program called "pop-up stopper" it will take care of the problem. I have been using it for about a year now and it does the job. BE aware there are some pop-ups you will want so if you don't get what you are expecting, turn off pop-up stopper by double clicking on the icon.

I had the stopper program, but it was stopping things that I didn't want stopped so I took it off. Couldn't open things in mail, extra windows that I wanted open...things like that. It worked great otherwise. Ray, you may be right....it could be the work of the stinger curse!!!!

Pop-up stopper installs an icon in the tool bar at the bottom of your screen, next to the clock if you are set up like I am. The icon has a red "X" in the center. When it is red pop-up stopper is enabled, if you double click in that red "X" it will turn gray which disables the program. The point is you can easily turn it on and off, thus not having to put up with the pop up screens but still see those you need.
