There were some eyes taken today( Sat,Sept. 7) Huron, the 32/32 lines. off of ruggles, the 29/27 and the 25/27. vermilion the 33/21 lines . lorain, the 34/11 and the 33/10 lines and west. this is today, but it may change tomorrow again. as it stands there are plenty of fish all over the place,so if you find a pocket of them, keep working them. you dont really have to find a pack of boats, just look for some away from the packs. it seemed to be copper and golds again, the depths of the eyes was from 18 to 35 foot down. the speeds were from 2.5 to 2.7 mph. good luck and good fishin.
Den
Den, Thanks a million. Your 25/27 numbers put us on to our first limit out day. Left the dock early and started fishing around 5:45 skirting the edge of Ruggles Reef with Reef Runners and Boards,. Nothing there. When the sun came up we were near the 25/27, switch to Dipsy’s and Spoons and headed North. Lots of marks but only white bass untill the 26 line. Figure 8’d along the 27 line, moveing a little more north each time. Noticed every fish was always north and east of the last. Change the center of our figure 8’s to a NE direction. Limited out by 12:30. Last fish near 28/26. Glad I’ve made checking your board part of my pre-fish prep. Haven’t had to cut out a tangle or lost a fish at the boat since you spooled me up with Power Pro. Thanks Again.
TerryR aboard “EPIPHANY”.
hi den went fishing lorain sat nice chop . marked most fish at 40 to 45 feet in 48 feet of water I wae at 33/5 10 caught pearch sheephead 1 walleye went to 33/20 nothing went to 33/14 0 was useing inline boards with 20 jets 120 back coudnot get deep enough.Sowe driffished with weapons and bottom boncers caught all fish on gold weapons. but still had a fun day on the lake uncledanny a bad day of fishing is still better than a good day at work
Thanks again. Your numbers put us on fish as usual. We weren't doing well with the spoons, so we changed over to bottom bouncers and crawler harnesses when the sun got high. Nailed several over 7lbs. They were picking the crawlers up right when they hit the bottom. Trolled around 1.5 to 2 mph GPS. Looking forward to our next trip...
