I'll be first to admit I love to troll. Dipseys and spoons are by far my #1 setup and if I had to choose one rig that would be it.

Having said that I'd like to give a couple of honorable mentions 1. Offshore inline boards with 3oz. bottom bouncers and harnesses trolled slow (.8-1.1mph) was hog heaven last spring. 2. Drifting with a couple bottom bouncers and a couple of suspended spinner rigs can be deadly as well.

What's your favorite set up's to bring home the bacon--I mean Eyes.

The dipsey's and spoons are just so easy. All the lines are out and set, you can work the rods continually changing colors, depths, etc, and they catch fish most of the time. Last season was my first Really Positive experience with in line boards and big boards and crank baits. End of April, north of Kellys and October north of Huron, something about Reef Runners behind the boards, fish are shallower and probably more aggressive, but boards are much more work.

I guess that no one wants to divulge their "Secret Lures".

Spring to me is Cranks behind boards - can be big or inline - just depends on conditions and how many peope fishing. Ripsticks and ReefRunners up high.

From mid May through mid Oct, we catch more fish on dipseys and Michigan Stinger spoons than anything else. As you've said - nothing easier / more efficient than dipseys.

I'm going to make an effort to run more harnesses this year.

As far as basic must haves:
In the ReefRunner and Ripsticks - Confusion, Blueberry Muffin, Eriedescent, Blue Hawaiian, Bubblegum, Green Perch, Wonderbread, Purple Demon.

Spoons - Confusion, Blueberry Muffin, Buckeye, Superman, Boy Girl, Perch, Bumblebee.

my favorite is big boards.Rip sticks high in the mornin,and home made harness through out the day. favorite colors are blueberyy mufffin,blue hawain,cheapsunglass,spoted ,frog,frootloop,friedchicken,blue crome,chartruse with blue back.Now ill never tell what color harnes I use. I quess some one will have to take me fishing.Two find that out...
