- It is still a slow pick here in the area, but the fish are being taken. some old numbers are starting to show back up again as the season get later in the summer now. Thw west side of the sandbar is going decent 33/24 and 30/20. also the 32/16 to 31/18 is starting to pick back up. the nets are by the bar and that is structure for the eyes, keep that in mind when out in that area. the old numbers of 27/27 should be going in another week or two. The shallower water is still giving up some decent eyes(25 to 35 foot) in the ruggles area, as well as in front of Vermilion river. Harnesses are working well, as are the spoons with dipsies and the jets. like i said nobody is setting the world on fire, but hopefully it should start getting better in a few days. i hope this helps somewhat. good luck and good fishin.
