I think people that use anonymizers are trying to get around ip blocking.
The funny thing about blocking ip's is that most people's ip's change to a small degree each time they boot up. If you block an ip, chances are that you will block a whole lot of other people as well.
For small sites that may not be a problem, but for larger sites it could eliminate a lot of people. I have no idea if the amount of posters here is in the tens, hundreds, thousands or hundreds of thousands.
At any rate, I think that if you truly believe in a certain position, you should be able to defend it without hiding behind 'anonymizers'. You should also be able to defend a position without resorting to foul language. It really doesn't add to the discussion. jmho |
