Geez, this has to rank near the top of the most bogus claims I have ever read about lighting. Misleading photograph of HID when he's selling blue bulbs, laughable description of color temperature, and potentially liable claims about overheating. This guy takes the cake. I couldn't resist, I just had to send him a response ending with a suggestion that he retract the description. Let's see what he has to say...

"Q: What does 5200K mean and how will it benefit my driving
A: Contrary to popular belief a "K" rating is not the measurement of a bulbs brightness or color depth, but it is in fact the ability to project its light source further and wider into the darkness. Using this formula our 5200K headlights project twice the distance and width of stock bulbs. (Example) All indoor movie theatres use 3800K bulbs for their movie projectors. This is how they are able to project on such a wide screen with amazing clarity. Now imagine what our 5200K bulbs can do for your vision."

It's because his target audience is idiots. Salesmen like that know that dumb people like to spend their money once, twice, three times on the same goal, etc. He wants those people to buy. Guys like us will never give him money though. But that's not his concern. He knows that once the internet opened up, he now only has to find a couple of idiot people out of every country each year to buy his product and he can make a living for years to come. If he just sold in his own confined town he lives in, then he would have to sell legit products, since his market reach would be way narrower, and the odds of finding only idiots in that range would be nill.
