I have a brand new HID kit with Hella ballasts and Philips D2S bulbs. I was able to purchase the kit new and for a very reasonable price. Now my question is, can I purchase the Hella 90mm projector alone without having to buy the D2S bulb and Ballast? From doing a quick search it looks like they are only sold as a kit together and for over $400 A PIECE. ouch!! I could just modify the H9 unit but if there is anyway at all I can get the one made for D2S HID for cheap then I would obviously rather do that.

Hella has never sold incomplete headlamps, and probably never will.

You can find JUST the projectors w/ bulb holders on eBay in HID version. The two favourites of course are heydanchan and henrylampa. They've both had just projectors with no ballasts and bulbs.

They'll be under $200 (US) for sure.
