the ballasts have an extra connection for the activation of the cutoff plate but it has 3 hookups. that go to a black, pink, and green wire. im am unsure how to hook them up. why 3 wires? thanks

Going from the ballast to the projector, I know that the red opens the shield (high beams), and the black is just a ground.

I've been told the green also activates the shield. But I just used the red and black wires.

i was thinkin there might be a relay inside but why. n e one know what the deal is?

i bet it has to do with some cars when you throw the high beams on, the low beams turn off. maybe the green wire throws a relay that keeps the low beam connection on. so there will be no restarting of the ballast.
