You know, I've often wondered who will be the first manufactorer to make a van or minivan with HID.

I know I have the only one with a minivan with HID retrofit in the Houston area, LOL. I did see an example of a van with retrofit on here a LONG time ago...think it was a Dodge.

That Dodge van belongs to Brian Berkey. A pic is on Herman's FAQ.

High-end "VANs"

June 7 2003, 3:42 AM

If you ask me, the Porsche Cayenne looks like a minivan. And honestly, we all know that whoever buys SUVs that cost more than $40,000 will never let their SUVs see a piece of dirt road. Moreover, I really wonder how good the standard 19 inch rims with low profile tires on the 4.4L X5s do off-roading... They are all excellent vehicles, but I would probably buy them more for a "van" purpose. BTW, almost all high-end SUVs ($30,000 or more) have either standard HID or at least an option(3.6L X5s)

Go here
http://www.toyota.com/html/shop/vehicles/sienna/features.html

and click on Sienna XLE Limited on "click here for standard features" and you will see HID standard there.

I think the Celica came with HID as an option last year. I haven't seen any yet though. I remember seeing it on Toyota's website a while back.

The Odyssy?? Really? Wow, I've never noticed. I guess van owners tend to opt out on the HID option.

I wonder why they would put HID option on the Odyssy but not the Accord?

Wow...if that's true then it must be extremely rare...i've personally never seen one.

Maybe it came with HID in Japan or some other country?

I'm not sure if the Honda came with HID in North America because while visiting the Odyssey forum, many were talking about HID upgrades and not once did any mention of an HID option pop up.

I have check on the Acura web page if you want add HID on your Acura(No HID type) that will be 1700CAD cost(not include installation).
I think that is a good start on Toyota Sienna XLE
but the price is pretty expensive.

Factory HIDs are not available for the Odyssey or MDX in the US anyway. As previously mentioned, the 04 Sienna Limited comes with height adjustible HIDs.
