Question about wiring harness

I have a wiring harness with relay, but i am confused. There is 2 connectors to the ballast that i see, and i hooked up. there is also a wire that goes to the battery and that is hooked up. the 2 ground wires are hooked up too

There is one wire tho, that has a real deep connector, inside there are 2 prongs . I already hooked up the ballast ones, so i dont know where this "One" connector goes. It looks different than the ones i used to hook up the ballast

Please help, my car is in a few peices and i need to put it away tonight
Thanks

That's probably the one that goes to one of your original low beam headlight feed sockets, to control the relay on the harness.

There are 2 original feed sockets, one on either side of the headlamp. This relay harness only has one connector for the side closest to the battery

I guess i only need to hook up the one side?

Ekooke, i am not electrically inclined, so ill try to explain this. On the ballast, there was a wire that was the 12 v feed to the ballst from the stock harness. I took it out from the ballast and connected it to the relay trigger connector on the side closest to the battery. I think this is correct. On the other side from the battery, i just let that connector hang, as there is no other connector on the relay i can hook it too. I hope i did it right

And the other problem i have is, i have an osram sylvania ballast, and if i hooked up the wrong polarity, will i fry the ballast? I know the phillips ones wont fry, but i dont know about the sylvania ones, and i dont want to fire it up and fry too balasts, do you know about that.

I am so lost, i wish i could give someone a call to explain this in more detail. Anyway, if you have a reply thanks

Yes, you only need to hook up one side of your original low beam connectors to the relay harness. You can put electrical tape over the other (unused) socket. I wouldn't worry about polarity protection, since the plugs/sockets will only mate one way. If the "kit" is made right, it will work, unless you have a Japanese designed car (and a few domestics) that use ground-switched headlight power.
BTW, didn't they give you written instructions with your "kit"?

Mine is ground switched headlights, thats why im worried. The oldsmobile intrigue has the polarity reversed i think.

The kit didnt come with a harness, i had to add it separately. So there are no instructions with it.

The ballasts are covered with electrical tape to keep them from touching ground. But if the polarity is wrong, it would be nice to know if the sylvania ballasts have polarity protection

Thanks ekooke for the reply
i await your next one

Run this test to see if you have ground-switched headlights:
