Silverstars: Worth the $$ as a high beam?

I'm thinking about using Silverstars for my 9005, would it be worth the extra $25 over regular halogen bulbs? Is it really THAT much brighter?

I'm also thinking about using yellow 9005 bulbs for high beams to give it that older Acura/Mercedez look (at least I think those were high beams). But would the yellow be alot dimmer?

i've got the silvers for both my highs and lows. i thin the extra brightness that silverstars pump out get canceled with the blue tint, so u get no real increase in output it seems. color's nice an white though. i think if u want brighter, u should look for the euro silverstars.

I have the Sylvania Silverstars in my Subaru and had the Osram Silverstars in the SUV b-4 i converted it to HID. The Osram is brighter but has no blue tint, hence a (warmer) yellow color. They appreciably brighter then the Sylvania Silverstars (blue) but if you want color the Sylvanias are better then stock Halogens. SUVLIGHTS.COM has both..

Try the Euro Philips Vision Plus, that is if they are available in 9005.
