Hi guy I need help, lately I purchase a E65 projector from 7series BMW, but the D2S won't fit in the projector...is there a different D2S out there that make to fit this E65 projectors?

I used this D2S for E46 and SC430 and it were fine..

Maybe the new 7 series is equipped with D1S bulbs, which may not use the same locking ring as D2S.

Are you sure it is an HID projector housing? It may be designed for a halogen bulb. Also, if the notches don't line up on the base, it may have been designed for a D2R HID capsule, which is keyed differently than a D2S.

Those look like the same ones I just got from Andy. The D2S fits fine. Just takes a little time to figure out what angle they go in.

I believe the newer e65 bi-xenon units use a certain 2 piece ballast that have a socket/ignitor which holds the d2s bulb in place.

Looks to me like it is a second gen Hella Bi-Xenon. If it is for E65 than it matches. I see the two wires coming out of it and the split shield inside. It should use ignitor as a bulb holder set up. But does use your standard D2S bulb. Cheers.

no this projector not for Halogen Bulb it Bi-Xenon. I try to put the D2S in the holder again still no luck, seem like D2S little bigger for it.

That's a D2S base alright. I guess you're having trouble putting the bulb holder in place ? don't worry, play with it a little it'll go in alright.

Did you lift up the metal hinges first around the edge ? Make sure you do that first and things will go a lot easier
