I have a brand new pair of H7 capsules with pigtails and philips ballasts. My stock projector is not the greatest for HID conversion because of it's overuse of downward traveling light. If i were to purchase a pair of OEM HID projectors, would it be possible to mount the H7 capsules and achieve decent results?

You would have to grind off alot with a dremel. Its not just a big trial and error job. Alot of comotion (handling) reduces life on HID bulbs. Its also quite risky in case glass shatters. Save the H7 bulbs for a different purpose (work lights, or sell on ebay etc) and get some untouched Philips D2S that will last 2-3000h.
