you put a honda housing in the oven at anything over 250 for more than 5 mins and your asking for it. especially if there is plastic lenses inside. its better to set the oven temp lower and let them bake in there longer for bout 7-9 mins. then they just come right apart. 400 is nuts!!!!!
You don't BAKE IT at 400º F. You PREHEAT the oven to 400º F, and then TURN THE OVEN OFF. Then you put the headlight onto a COLD cookie sheet, and place the headlight still sitting on the cookie sheet into the oven. In about 10 minutes you take the headlight out of the cooling oven (wear gloves) and pop the lens from the housing with a wide-blade screwdriver.
Yeah, I was gonna say, no wonder why so many kids are melting their fixtures, all because they misunderstood the 400 deg is NOT actually on while the lights are in there! I've done 3 or 4 headlight types before and never melted one

97-2001 Honda Prelude
96-99 Mitsubishi Eclipse
preheat to 350 and heated for 15 minutes after off did fine for both. I also used the little short roof nail trick to let it cool while partially split so I had very little messy strings of goo strung everywhere.
