Intresting undercar lighting.

Found this on a different forum. The electronics, and its lighting ability to produce over 2 million colors is very cool. Not necessarily $800 cool, but cool.

Looks like a traveling disco on wheels. Now all it needs is hydralics so when it gets to the party he can tilt the car so it will shine on the dance floor!

Plus, with hydralics, he can safely travel over any speedbump up high without the worries of scraping over it and breaking his $800 light


I got a friend who just bought a new computer (transparent case) that has this same effect as that car. On his it is all done with one single regular size LED that has the 3 root colors built into it (green, blue, red), and with a little logic chip it can make any color in the world that you want by combining different intensities of the 3. His can strobe, fade through the colors, etc. It WAS pretty cool, but on a computer. I don't know about a car though? (maybe somewhere in the interior like for your amp compartment or something? But not on the outside).

I think if it was on the inside it would be only to show off. Not only would you probably get cited if the cop saw it, but it would get annoying having everything changing colors.

i always thought it'd be interesting to do in a large truck. for when u get stuck in mud and what not.

but not those colors. might not be bad idea for car wheel well.. try those dark/cold nights chaning spare or putting on show chains.

=) but then i'm just a light nut. hehe
