Blazer 2600 Driving Lights - Bulb Swap?

I am currently running the Blazer 2600's with the 55w H2 bulbs that come with them. I can get some Hella 100w bulbs for $3.99 a piece. Would this improve the lighting any? I understand that the 100w put out almost twice as many lumens (3000 a piece).

I've also read that higher wattage bulbs are more effective in larger lamps. These 2600's are very small, so I'm wondering if the change will even be noticable.

Anyone tried this?

BTW, I'm running a 200 amp alternator, so amperage is not an issue.

Thanks!

You'd be losing some luminous output efficiency with the higher wattage bulbs (lumens/watt isn't as high), and they'd burn out faster. The fixtures are metal & glass, but I'd open the vent holes on the bottom of the fixtures a little, to help dissipate the added heat from the 100W bulbs.
