I dont want to use sand paper to sand out the texture and there is no clear version of the headlight, is the beam pattern acceptable if I just retrofit a projector in there???
Does anyone have any beam pattern and foreground picture for textured headlight with projector??
Or the result will be better if I just use casper shield in that headlight housing?

Use a laser pen and see for urself how much "bend" the rays get in the front lens. In my opinion, those 97 camry lenses have a very weak bend, so it might give decent results. Not world class, but decent.

In my experience, the bam pattern was horrible. I have resorted to sanding as no clear lense was avalable and was impossible to make one from lexan. It is actually not that bad. Just takes time.
From what I can gather, if your lens is as close to vertical and is more perpendicular to a projected beam, you might get away with it. It also depends what flutes are on the lense. The finer the flutes the better it will be and less dispersion will occur. Also, play with focal point of the projector itself, that makes a difference too. The above are just my opinions from my experimentation only. Please experiment yourself. I would see what Caspers would do vs. projector behind a fluted lens.

I got 93 camry and I put sc430 in there, the textured look hard for the light to came out, so what I did is cut the front textured 3 1/2 by 3 1/2 and replace with some thic plastic and used clear wb welb result turn out better than my RS6 retrofit.
